Players assume the role of a rescue diver that is attempting to save the lives of researchers trapped in the caverns. The caverns are filled with scorpion like creatures that you must destroy (or jump over…)!!
This prototype was developed by studying the game Super Metroid. The design of the movement, level design, and combat attempt to uncover the strength of those mechanics found in other titles. Super Metroid features a very complex combat system which incorporates a great deal of control over the player’s vertical space and position. The high level of control by the player over this allows enemies and weapons to directly challenge this fact and forces the player to improve in skill throughout the game.
